MIDI Detector

This useful device is used to show all channel activity on a MIDI cable. For each of the 16 MIDI channels, an individual LED blinks to show that channel is active. For setting up MIDI instruments, this device is a life saver for making sure cables are connected correctly! This is especially true if you might have some bad MIDI cables. Just plug it into your cable, and tell at a glance whether or not MIDI data is present. The MIDI Detector features a standard MIDI IN port connected directly to a MIDI THRU port. This allows you to monitor MIDI activity and still hook up your instruments normally. All data received at the MIDI IN port is transmitted unchanged to the MIDI THRU port with no propagation delay. The MIDI Detector is powered by an AC Adaptor or 9 volt battery.
