Appearance
White, with a silky sheen. Cut as a cabochon, shows a cat's eye effect. A cut stone placed on writing causes it to appear on the surface, prompting the name "TV Stone".
Enhancements
Ulexite is usually coated with a plastic or varnish on one side to improve the effect, and improve durability.
